The Town of Victoria Park is a vibrant urban community, 10 minutes from Perth’s CBD.
Driven by a culture of innovation, the Town has become a sought after destination for residential, commercial and leisure pursuits.
Its diverse community is reflected by unique bars, quirky cafes and international eats along the Albany Highway strip. The Town truly prides itself on being a dynamic place for everyone.
Vic Park is growing, from Archer Street in Carlisle and the expanding community hub of Lathlain Place, to the evolution of WA’s premiere entertainment precinct on the Burswood Peninsula.
Aiming to be leaders in all they do, Vic Park strives to support its place, its people and its partnerships.
Why Vic park?
The Town of Victoria Park is committed to collaborative working. By partnering with surrounding and regional local governments it embraces efficiency and openness.
Taking pride in aiding Vic Park’s growth, Town staff work collaboratively and effectively with investors, developers and community groups. Certified building applications have an eight day average turnaround, planning applications can be approved in under 60 days and environmental health applications are assessed in two weeks on average.
46% of the Town’s land is still developable including around the heritage train line, Burswood Peninsula, Burswood Station East, Bentley to Curtin University and Technology Park, Albany Highway and St James, Kent Street and Carlisle.
Already home to a heritage train line, five train stations, equitable parking and access to trains, buses, walking and cycling ways, Vic Park has a strong focus on the travel needs of all users.
Recognising that streets are a core component of sustainable places, not just a means of moving people, Vic Park proactively looks at how to better accommodate active movement and improved access. This includes emphasis on walking, cycling and linking public transport.
Integrated transport and movement outcomes interlink with planning and public open space aspirations.
The Town’s population is expected to more than double in the next 35 years. The dwellings growth to accommodate this will continue the transformation of the Town into a bustling, cosmopolitan urban community.
